I was honored to speak and sign copies of my books at the first ever Jackson County Jubilee on Saturday in downtown Scottsboro, Alabama. Thanks to Richi Reynolds for inviting to be there and everyone involved in this fantastic event. Also, special thanks to Lady Smith with the Snail on the Wall bookstore for being on hand to sell copies of all three books.

The MCMURTIE & DRAKE INVESTIGATION series has captured my full attention. I’ve finished #3, “The Last Trial” beachside, Gulf Shores. Bailey’s use of iconic, and not so well known, places in Alabama gives me a sense of being in the middle of the action. These investigative thrillers will keep the most avid reader/writer in suspense. Even with only a small percentage remaining the plot takes on a totally new twist. I appreciate the author’s acknowledgment page reference to Clearview Cancer Institute, Huntsville, Alabama. I too am a cancer survivor and have great respect my medical team. I didn’t make it to the signing in Scottsboro this past Saturday, but I will be looking for other opportunities in Northern Alabama and South Alabama! Thank you Mr. Bailey for the opportunity to provide visual connection to places, attorneys, and judges using personal experiences and acquaintances.

I just finished “The Last Trial”. You’ve done it again! I, too, enjoyed all the Alabama references, both geographical and University. Of course, it is a thrill when I find someone who remembers and talks about Bear Bryant! Great, great book! (I will say I was hoping at the end Judge Poe would get in trouble for being so biased against the DA and the Tide.)
